More than olive oil ... a Symbol

Blessed symbol of gods, the olive tree and its oil nourished and provided light to the peoples of antiquity.
Olive oil was also prized for its medicinal value, as witnessed by its association with Eshoum, the god of good health.
And, Jesus would climb the Mount of Olives to spend the night in prayer.
